AXON TMS Feature

AXON Track

Real-time driver location, with the driver's consent.

AXON Track lets dispatchers see where their drivers are during active loads — without installing an app, without intrusive background tracking, and only when the driver explicitly agrees. Drivers stay in control. Dispatch stays informed.

How it works

A simple, consent-first flow.

Every location share starts with the driver tapping a link and giving explicit permission. No background tracking. No silent data collection.

01

Dispatch sends a text

When a driver is assigned to a load, dispatch can send them a one-time tracking link by SMS. The text identifies the carrier and the load.

02

Driver taps the link

The link opens a web page in the driver's browser. No app to download, no account to create. Works on any modern smartphone.

03

Driver gives consent

The page clearly explains what is being shared, with whom, and for how long. The driver must tap ‘Allow’ to start sharing.

04

Location streams to dispatch

While the page is open, the driver's location is sent to dispatch in real time. Closing the tab, revoking consent, or replying STOP ends the session immediately.

SMS Program Details

What drivers should know.

AXON TMS operates a transactional SMS program for driver location coordination. Below is a complete summary of how the program works.

Program Name

AXON Track — Driver Location Coordination.

Message Type

Transactional. Operational dispatch communications only. No marketing or promotional content.

How Drivers Opt In

Drivers are enrolled by their employing carrier or broker as part of their job onboarding. The carrier maintains a record of the driver's consent to receive operational SMS at their mobile number.

Message Frequency

Frequency varies based on load activity. Drivers typically receive one or two messages per assigned load. Messages are sent only when there is an operational reason — new load assignment, tracking link, or status confirmation.

How to Opt Out

Reply STOP to any AXON Track message at any time to immediately stop all future messages. You will receive one final confirmation message confirming you have been unsubscribed.

How to Get Help

Reply HELP to any AXON Track message to receive contact information for your carrier's dispatch team and AXON TMS support.

Carrier Charges

Message and data rates may apply. Drivers should consult their mobile carrier plan for details.

Supported Carriers

AXON Track works with all major U.S. mobile carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and their MVNO partners.

Privacy & Data Handling

Drivers stay in control.

Consent is required, every time.

Location is shared only after the driver explicitly taps ‘Allow’ on the consent screen. Without consent, no location data is collected.

Location is only shared with the driver's carrier.

AXON TMS does not sell, rent, or share driver mobile numbers or location data with any third party for marketing purposes. Information collected through SMS is used solely to operate the dispatch and tracking service for the driver's carrier.

Sessions are short-lived.

Tracking sessions end when the driver closes the browser tab, revokes consent, replies STOP, or when the load is marked complete by dispatch.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

All location pings travel over HTTPS. Data is stored in encrypted form on AXON's infrastructure and is accessible only to the driver's carrier organization.

STOP works instantly.

Replying STOP unsubscribes the driver immediately. They will receive one confirmation message and no further messages.
